  • Accompanying the dramatic increase in student numbers was a very pleasing increase in the diversity of people receiving SARINZ training.
  • Playing a central role in the delivery of the TV One series The Missing.
  • Jointly hosting national launch of The Missing, an event that was significant in the consolidation it lent to our strategic relationship with LandSAR.
  • In association with Tai Poutini Polytechnic (TPP), staging an inaugural and extraordinarily effective instructor training forum.
  • Adapting, developing and delivering six new courses to new and existing clients.
  • Playing central roles in developing the SAR Core Curriculum, and reviewing the TPP SAR curriculum to ensure it is fit-for-purpose in 2010 and beyond.
  • Coordinating a significant SARINZ Trust POD research project.
  • Completing Private Training Establishment (PTE) registration with NZQA.
  • Entering a research partnership with New Zealand Oil & Gas Ltd (NZOG).
  • Developing new business with Fonterra, Civil Defence and ITOs, and completing project work for Antarctica New Zealand and NZSAR.
